EU4AGRI keeps on activities of support on implementation of software solutions for management of vineyard and wine registers in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Through the activities on EU delegated project – “European Union support for agriculture competiveness and rural development in Bosnia and Herzegovina- EU4AGRI”, on 25. and 26. of January 2022 in Neum was held workshop on the implementation of software for registries in the wines sector in accordance with EU requirements.

Workshop attended 6 representatives from official authorities from Bosnia and Herzegovina who works on implementation of the vineyard and wine registries on all state levels.

Workshop moderators Milenko Blesic, PhD. EU4AGRI project consultant and Lukas Plachy IT expert for wine sector were presented legal issues in vineyard and wine sector and technical solutions for vineyard and wine registries.

Through workshop activities were demonstrated practical application of existing system that is in use in Serbia and Moldova, as well as application in use of vineyard and wine databases.

Workshop was held in cooperation with Ministry of agriculture, water management and forestry of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ministry of agriculture, water management and forestry of Republic of Srpska, Ministry of foreign trade and economic relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Department for agriculture, forestry and water management of Brcko district.

EU4AGRI is a 4-year initiative (2020-2024) that aims to modernize agri-food sector, create new jobs, as well as retain existing ones, and support recovery from crisis caused by COVID-19 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total value of the project, financed by the European Union, is EUR 20,25 million, and is jointly implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in BiH and Czech Development Agency (CzDA).
