EU4AGRRI seminar for agricultural advisors was held
Within the European Union project – “European Union Support for Agricultural Competitiveness and Rural Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina – EU4AGRI”, in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Republika Srpska, in the period from 21.-23./09 2021 a seminar for nearly 90 agricultural advisors from BiH was held at the Grand Hotel in Neum.
The aim of the seminar on “Agricultural advisory system and how to improve it?” Is to improve the knowledge and training of agricultural advisors for the application of modern approaches, models and methods in the agricultural advisory. On this occasion, the seminar covered topics related to the legislative framework of public agricultural services in the EU, the system of certification of consultants with special reference to practices in the Czech Republic, as well as other topics related to models of advisory work, advantages and disadvantages of certain advisory methods.
This training is the first in a series of planned trainings that will be supported by the EU4AGRI project, to improve the Agricultural Advisory System and improve the certification system of agricultural advisors in BiH.
The lecturers at this seminar were dr. Iveta Boshkova et al. Olga Svobodova from the Czech Republic.
The EU4AGRI project is a four-year initiative (2020-2024) aimed at modernizing the agri-food sector, creating new jobs, as well as retaining existing ones and supporting recovery from the COVID-19 crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total value of the project, funded by the European Union, is 20.25m euros and is jointly implemented and co-financed by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in BiH and the Czech Development Agency (CzDA).
